tammy, butch and garfield.

3 of the most un-orignial cat names ever. and the names of my last three cats.

tammy died of old age.

butch got run over.

garfield is only 7 years old and still with us. all he does is eat and sleep. so its quite an appropriate name.

I wasn't trying to be original. I never named my cat Cat. I never got around to naming him anything. The vet named him that by default because he didn't have a name when we got him neutered. It fit him, so we stuck with it.

Of course, we've also got two fish named Piranha and Oscar (after their types, though Wonder has informed me that Piranha may in fact be a Pacu, not a pirahna as we'd suspected.. it was getting too big, anyway). And dad has a dog he named Rusty. The dog is among the more annoying creatures on the planet, and his name is pretty stupid. Oh well.

[edit: Forgot. Me and my brother used to have a cockatiel named Friendly because when we brought it home it would go for blood if anyone came near it. It grew to love my brother and it liked me some... On that note, my brother once had two hamsters named Omar and Cledus (or is that Cletus? I can't remember). ]

Rosh, my cat is named Cat because, technically, it isn't mine to name. It belongs to my neighbors, but lives at my house. We feed it, it sleeps on our beds all day and night long, and never leaves.

edit: I think his real name is Mr. Christina, or something equally pathetic.

I have a cat that I named "Resin".

The first thing the cat did when it entered my house was sniff around an empty pipe (for smoking) that a friend had left over my house. When it looked up at me, it had resin all over its nose, so I named it "resin".

Apparently my cat doesn't like the name very much. He seems to respond to "you little bastard!!!" much better.

There is a big spider living above my door, I call it Jesus, as in "JESUS! YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!"
I once had a cat named Hungry and a mouse named Dinner.
If I had a rabbit, I'd call him Burroughs.

I have a 200lb Mastiff I named Shaq in relation to him being so large.
I also have other names I call him like Jelly Head and Spit Monkey because of all of the drool he chucks when he shakes his head. one time he hit me in the eye with a spit ball the size of a webcam. it was very romantic.

i also have a German Shepard named Polo who is pretty much called and reffered to as Crackhead because of his hyper activity. The dog is so hyper he shakes when you try to make him stay still and he goes into sprinting fits in the backyard where he does about 60mph for 15 minutes with 5 second stops in between todig into the ground. The funniest thing he does is when he tries to hump Shaq. Shaq is 200lb Polo is 93lbs. Everytime he tries to hump him he has one leg feeling for an imaginary step so he can reach the bigger dog's crotch. Funny shit.
