I don't have any friends. When I moved to California I adopted my girlfriends friends, but then she dumped me and now I don't have any friends. Soon I will move to Virginia, where I predict Karen and Paint will be my best friends .. whether they like it or not.

i've never thought about whether any one of mates can be considered as my 'best'. not since i was 5 years old.

Theres a mate I've known for around 15 years now. I suppose i can trust him with anything so maybe hes my closest friend.

my soulmate was pretty special. she knew me inside out. shame we dont speak anymore.

Dead_Inside is my best friend...even though he thinks I only hang out with him to drink beer and smoke cigarettes...I actually hang out with him because he is smart and he has the best sense of humor of anyone I know...

He also showed me this place so if I screw up somewhere, you can blame him!!!

best friend offline is a hard one. My only real selection is the idiots I work with, I don't see too many people I went to school with anymore. Online I have a lot of people that I chat with and can share my secrets with. I'd have to say Natasha is my closest friend offline and Danielle M. (I know about 4 different Danielles) is my closest online friend. That's only because they help me with my problems all the time. I have too many friends to have a real best friend. Anyone who isn't my enemy could be my best friend I guess.

i have a couple of friends that i can tell pretty much anything to. they are there for me and i'm there for them whenever we need each other.

i consider kt to be my best friend. we've known each other since secondary school, since we were about 14 and her family is like my second family. they are always so warm and welcoming, and pleased to see me. kt and i get on soooo well. we always cheer each other up when we're down, and we always have a good time together. we've shared some of our most emotional and scary moments together... like, the day my mum died, i went round to her house. i always go to her house and sit in her room smoking ciggies and reading magazines while she plays music really loudly and dances in the middles of her room. her and her younger sister (who i also consider a best friend) comforted me, then took my mind off it by taking me clubbing that evening.
then there was a time when she told me that she was bisexual. i was the first person she told apart from her sister (and obviously any gfs). so we've been through a lot together, and i love her to pieces. hell, we've even played tonsil hockey together.

then there's hattie. we went to the same primary school, the same music school, played in the same orchestras, worked together, been on holiday together, and now, i live in her house! although we didn't really start talking to each other until 4 years ago when she started going out with a friend of mine, we've got a lot of shared history. we grew up in the same place, and really we've known *of* each other since i was about 6. hattie is the sweetest girl on this planet. she has a heart of gold. she's 3 years younger than me, and even though i've adopted her as my unofficial little sister, it's her that actually has her head screwed on and most of the time ends up looking after me!! even though i live at her parents' house, she's away at university so i don't get to see her that often. it's always good to see her when she comes back, and i miss her when she goes away.

i have a lot of other friends that i'm very close to. every one of them is special to me, and brings something different into my life, and i wouldn't do without them. i hope i do the same for them.

I have two best friends, the first is my friend Joel. I've know Joel since I was 7 years old, that makes it almost 21 years that we've been friends. A very long time indeed. He is one of those people that I can do anything with and have just a grand old time doing it. Alot of the best memories of my childhood are tied up with the times that we have spent together, getting into trouble, blowing up shit, you name it I'm sad but not sad at the same time that I dont get to see much of him, maybe 3-4 times a year if we are lucky. He met a wonderful woman and they were married this last year. He also lives in New Jersey, about 4 hours from me so it dosent make it convienient to just "drop" over.

My second best friend may seem like a strage choice to some, to others it might be, well who knows. I've know her since she was 14 years old, and believe you me she was impossibly cool even then. But it hasn't been until this last year that we really really got to talking and I realized just how amazingly cool she really is. Not to mention smart, funny, and pretty damn good looking (I stray ) She makes it very easy to be her friend, and that is a rare quality these days. I love her to death and even though she will never let me live down that *ahem* stabbing incident, she'll always hold a special place in my heart (up there near the aorta, possibly even the left ventricle) Chantrea is the best and I hope she never changes and I really hope we'll always be friends no matter what (Even though I want to bear her children hahahha!)

Gravestone is making me all teary. Damn you!!

My best real life friend, is my sister. We are ten months apart, I being the eldest. We do everything together, and now that she's in college I miss her to pieces. She's my everything, I can tell her anything and feel completely safe. There is also my best buddy Beth, my sister & I have known her since we were 4/5 years old. The three of us have been best friends since. She's always over here. She won't leave as a matter of fact.

Online, I have many close friends. But as Gravestone said, he is my bestest friend. He's been here for me through all of my adolescent bull, he's listened to me when I dropped out of school, put up with my tears and whining when family life wasn't at it's best. He's the greatest guy e-v-e-r. I love him muchly, HASIM RULES!!

Other noteworthy friends, whom I've met only in the past year, from the Asylum, are tack, Caffeine, Logan, & Hedonism. I trust you guys explicitly as well. Hopefully we'll always remain close friends.

Enough name dropping though, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. All my friends are very special to me. Love yous.

I wouldn't say I have a best friend anymore really.. but I do have quite a few close close friends that I can confide in.. and I know would do anything for me in times of need.
I guess the people who I can rely on most are my 2 cousins.. they have always been there for me.. they'd go through hell and back for me.. i can trust them with anything, and being family is a bonus I know that they will ALWAYS be a part of my life..grrr i miss them!!!
As for online.. sure I have fav online friends.. Dawn, Clare (who I know IRL when I was lil'), Kumi who i'm meeting up w/ this summer, and DevilMoon (who I know offline also). I have known Dawn for over 4 years now and she has been there for me through thick and thin.. all of them are great for advice and put a smile on my face How do they differ? Not drastically really.. Except that I can spend time w/ my close friends offline more so we share more inside jokes and hugs.. besides that.. both parties mean a lot to me

I have no best friend, online or off.

All my better friends have either moved away or turned on me or got a girlfriend and stopped hanging out with me, or some shit like that.

Looking for someone to talk to is hard, especially in the real world. Sure, I can always talk to people online, but it just isn't the same.

Whenever I try to talk to my friends about deep shit that is on my mind I am always met with the blank stares and I don't knows.

Whenever I ask what is wrong no one will tell me, either, so the problem isn't just one sided.

A "friend" of mine once said that perhaps I am on a different level than most people here, and that I should only talk to those people who are on the same level as I am. Unfortunately, if I followed her advice I wouldn't be speaking to anyone.

Such is life.

I don't know why I typed this long drawn out bullshit, but I did.

i admit, i don't have a lot of friends. i'm terrible about converting new people to friends.

I met Nutrimentia the day he was born. we've been good friends for about twenty seven years now.

there are a couple (meaning exactly two) people that i haven't really kept in touch with since we met twenty one years ago, but on the odd occaison that i do run into them, things are as familiar and organic as could be expected. thanks, mike and heather. jeremiah, even.

I met Bondo and a few other people about fourteen years ago. they're still kind of on probation, but wade, tom, and jerry are people i'd consider my friends.

Justin and his array of cousins come in just behind them, only known them for a dozen or so years. no doubt they will prove themselves in time.

Rob and Jeremy are the new guys. I"ve only know robert for six or seven years. jeremy's tenure could be measured in months.

honestly, all these people are people i would set logic aside for, if they asked. You know what's good and what's right, but you also know your friends and you know what you'd do for them. and vice versa.

all of these people have taken risks for me. i've taken risks for each and every one of them.

I don't trust people very easily, but some of these people i'd trust more than family. I don't mean to get all sentimental, but this is the way it is.
