As an Australian living under the reign of the current conservative government who so wisely decided for us that we aren't responsible enough to own modern weapons or money, I'd just like to invite any Arabic terrorist group who is so inclined, or perhaps the Chinese or Indonesian military who easily out number our entire population... Melon, that's one nice looking piece of iron! Am I right in guessing that it is a Galil 5.56x45 mm, or is it the heavier 7.62x51 mm variant? As well, is it the civilian semi-automatic version, or the standard full-auto capable IDF issue?

Myself, I have one of these:



It's a pre-ban chinee SKS, 7.62x51 mm, so it is allowed to have the bayonet on it. It's ugly as hell, and of rather simple construction, but for a gun made to third world standards its tiptop. Cleaning is easy and it can take more abuse in the field than most any sportster-type weapon available. And for the price, (less than $140 brand-new out of the box and still packed with cosmoline)it can't be beat.
