Did I err?

Okay, I just got back from spring break. I went home. While I was there, quite a few amusing things occurred concerning my ex girlfriend.

Anyway, first off, I was talking to Chris, the friend I had accompany me to play pool with my ex and my best friend (who was going out with her at the time... see my long winded post about that I posted in January for details). Anyway, Chris told me that my ex was now dating one of her friends (whom I'd met a few times... not to mention he'd played pool with us that last night). Chris thought it was hillarious, and having met the guy, I thought so too. He's a bit of a geek, pretty hopeless (or so I'd figured) romantically.

Later, my friend Palmer, told me he'd seen her around campus (they go to the same college) and she'd tried hitting on him. Knowing what she was like, he declined, but we both found it funny as hell. Oh yeah, he's about as big a computer geek as you find.

She really gets around. And she apparently prefers the geeky sorts.

Then of course, while I was bored as hell the whole week, dad repeatedly said to me "Why don't you call Jessica and ask her out?"
He apparently didn't get the concept that she dumped me. And of course, considering what she's like now, I don't think I'd really want her anymore.

So what do you think? Should I have called her? Just for the hell of it?


Oh well, this just popped into my head and I figured I'd share.

Of course, the class doesn't seem to want me. (Then again, neither does the trash. Oh well.)

By the way, I do think the word "err" is a hidden treasure, and should be used much more often.

Well, he was pretty straightforward and honest about the whole thing. Can't really blame him for trying (well, I can, but other than that he's always been a really good friend).. and he did get dumped shortly after I left... (by email no less!)

I'm usually a pretty easygoing person, but it did strain the friendship a bit. Now that the business is over, I'm not holding anything against him.
