If I'm having trouble sleeping, I'll either try meditate for an hour or so, or just stay awake. I'm still young enough that I can survive the lack of sleep

I've found a warm glass of milk with some honey is also a good relaxant. I don't like sleeping meds though. I always wake up the next morning feeling like shit for some reason.

Well first I wake up completely because if you only wake up partially the dream will just start up again.

Then I call 911 and say I heard something suspicious in my lane and ask them to send the police by to check it out. They usually ask what kind of noise and I say a weird thumping sound outside my house, or someone screaming nearby. They always come right away for that! Then, once I hear their cruiser come past I feel that all is well again and I fall asleep easily.

Quite effective, really.

Nyquil gets me to sleep.

I had a nightmare last night that my friend was chasing me yelling Imohtep (some mummy I think). It was pretty freaky.

What was yours about Chelle?

Sorry to hear, Chelle.
I don't usually have nightmares...maybe if I'm too hot or if I've fallen asleep with the light on or something.
When I can't get to sleep tho (and I know this sounds weird), I swear by a glass or two of Pepsi Max.
Give it a whirl...it can't hurt!!

Hmmm...

I can't wait to tell Chelle's husband she's sharing her dreams with me. Hmm, yes, that will be lovely. I can't wait to see his jealous rage.

So, you submit to the pressures of your insecure husband. Big deal. Not everyone rolls over so easily. I'm not so quick to bow my head and obey for the sake of obeying. What a good little wife you must be. Too bad it's not 1950 anymore.

go hug someone if they are up with you. when i was little i used to always wake my parents up for a hug then i used to just crawl back into bed...
thats the only thing to this day that will make me feel so much better. too bad i dont have a sexy, cuddly boyfriend lol
sometimes i might just come on here, or occupy myself.. read etc. try to lay down without thinking about it... right away. you might be able to fall right back asleep.
i rarily have nightmares though.. only around final exams. last night i just dreamt about rollerblading.. buying a pair on clearance and speedblading on the 401 (highway).. im weird.
last week i had a dream that i was friends w/ blanche, rose, and dorthy from the Golden Girls.. lol

"are you married wraith?"
No, I narrowly escaped certain death in 1998 when I broke off my engagement. I pretty much figured it wasn't going to work out when I came home unexpectedly one evening and met her boyfriend.

"you sure seem to act like you know allot about relationships."
I do? It doesn't take a Dr. Laura to figure out which relationships are based on control and which are not, even though I was a sociology major. It's common knowledge that many women who are beaten often WANT to go back to their abusive husbands, and even defend them. I'm not saying your husband is abusive - but I'd definitely say he has potential. In either case, I don't give a damn. Have a black eye for the rest of your life, or not - It doesn't affect my life.

I'm sitting back and imagining my parents. Father is 54, Mother is 51. I'm trying to imagine him telling her she can't use ICQ. Hmmm...nope, can't picture it. Oh wait!, I know now...it's not a manipulative and controlling relationship. That's why! Gosh, I should have realized that sooner.

...so should have you.

It's all becomming clear now
I wondered why you suffered from this need to rub people the wrong way. I feel there are some deep psychological scars scored across your soul.
It's ok Wraith, it's not your fault.
I forgive you.

you dont know me or much about my relationships wraith. sometimes its best to compromise. i wasnt the only one who had to change my behaviors...things are not always what they seem. i find it very amusing that you have such strong opinions of my marriage, and you hardly know me. it seems your anger and bitterness should be pointed at your ex girlfriend rather than at my husband.
sociology majors are a joke btw.
