and they ask why i cannot stand children

FLORIDA -- A boy, angry at a woman who kept chasing him out of her yard,
took her 2-year-old Persian cat and threw it in a yard with three large
dogs, sheriff's deputies said.

"He threw the cat in there knowing full well the cat would not get out,
could not get out and would not live to see another day," said sheriff's
spokesman Kirk Englehardt.

The incident took place on Feb. 4, Englehardt said, and the 8-year-old boy
is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center on an animal cruelty
charge. He had several prior offenses, including arson and burglary.

The cat, Smokey, once belonged to the daughter of Mildred Mills. The
daughter died and Mills had been caring for it.

The boy admitted to police that he was upset with Mills and that he took
Smokey from her yard and threw the cat in a pen with a chow, a Rottweiller
and a collie mix. Each dog weighed between 50 and 60 pounds.

The boy watched the cat die and then ran away.

Englehardt said the owner of the dogs found the cat and buried it, but
neighborhood children told Mills what had happened.

Hell, you said the proverbial mouthful. I mean it. Truth is, at least to some extent, one of the downsides to our growth in technology is that we have become victims of our access to overwhelming sources and quantities of information. It's out of balance.

The news story shared by Shyloh does not in any way support a conclusion that children are bad, per se. The only reasonable conclusion I can draw from it is that the boy has severe problems.

As a rule, I like children, but I've seen some bad ones. As a rule, I like adults, but I've seen bad adults, too. I don't understand how anyone could, or why anyone would, dislike children in general. Amen.

its not the kid zoey, its the fucking parents.
i think parents need to actually spend time disciplining thier children rather than ignoring them!
my boys get in LOTS of trouble for harming any living creature. unless they plan on eating it.
as my six year old could tell you, ants dont taste very good!
