but the whole point of The Rotle Family is its supposed to be reality satire. How can you have reality satire is things are censored because they might upset someone, or portry a non healthy lifestyle.

I kinda of agree with you aminal. Its not meant to make you roll around in fits of laughter. Its very subtle comedy. I see it art trying to portray reality. The Royale Family are just ordinary and that is what is funny about them.

I don’t know, the PC movement had turned freedom of speech in to a joke and these days if a network doesn’t have enough black people (in ref to the black guy playing a Kennedy) in it's shows the NAACP starts blackmailing them. I mean, we don’t want to offend anyone do we?

You know....I had a disclaimer stating my acknowledgement of the Queen's English, and how my statement was a joke, but I took it out cause I was jumping to conclusions and I wanted to keep my statement light (I also figured the fucking smiley was enough). I guess you can always count on someone looking for a fight or being offended with a simple statement made in jest.

I may actually start a thread about this in the near future.

I read a really great list about which is better, film or TV, and gave 10 reasons supporting each side. In relation to language:

1. Films are better as they allow near total freedom in language, which adds realism, color, etc etc etc.

2. Television is better as it places limits on language in reference to taste. Because of that, dialouge, especially raunchy dialouge, is forced to be "smarter" to get the point across without saying the naughty words. Also, it assures that writers don't simply fall back on spewing out foul language for the sake of it, yadda yadda yadda.

I think that's bollocks though.

Think how much better All in the Family would have been were Archie Bunker able to say "goddamn".

This show sounds like it will be shite.
