to chat or not chat? to post or not post?

I am just curious why so many people don't ever come to chat?

They are active posters but not chatters.

And then there are the chatters who rarely post.

They like to chat but don't want to post.

What's the deal?

Break out of your comfort zone! Come to chat, or start to post!

I prefer mostly to post. In the realm of posts it is easier to get up, go out come back and catch up fairly readily. In chat if you leave for ten minutes you (potentially) miss a great deal and that's just annoying. Then if you try to scroll back to read what you missed the screen keeps jumping to the new things people enter, more annoying. Then the most annoying is multiple conversations at the same time, which if you don't chat often is also, very annoying.

sometimes ppl tend to pop in and out of chat during its non 'peak' hours

Whiner, get used to it. Just like speaking in a noisy place, learn to filter. Not that chat has been very interesting of late, but it give me people to harass while the forum is loading or something.
