I only smoke when going out with friends, so technically I smoke. But I don't consider myself a smoker

yay me!!!

i worked it out on the fact that it takes about 6 minutes for me to smoke a fag, and if i smoke 10 a day (which is a heavy day at the moment) then i spend about an hour a day with a lit cigarette in my hand. however, if i inhale smoke, say, once every 30 seconds and it takes about 5 seconds for a complete inhale and exhale, then i am really smoking for a total of 60 seconds out of that 6 minutes, give or take...

so, here are my calculations:

time spent with cig in hand 60mins per day
time spent directly inhaling and exhaling smoke = 6 mins per day
= 42 mins per week
= 36 hours and 24 minutes per year
consider the fact that i am 22 now. in 48 years time when i am 70, i will have smoked for approximately 10 weeks, 2 days, 19 hours and 12 minutes.

when i was three years old, one of my dad's friends was packing me around and i got ahold of the pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket. he gave me one. i put it in my mouth and tried to eat it.

i never, ever had a desire to smoke after that. maybe i'm good at handling peer pressure. more likely, i have peers that respect me enough not to pressure me.

Smoking.. blech.

Unfortunately, I think I've got a whole 2 friends that don't smoke (and neither of them I see very often). All of the others smoke way too much. It's a pain in the ass, to be sure.

I'd consider dating a girl who smoked, but I'm not sure how long that would last. Depends on how long I could stand her.

Many of my friends do..
I don't.. it doesn't do anything for me..
most of my friends do.. I guess it's their business.. but I prefer when clubs aren't TOO smokey.. it tends to make my eyes sting and water.. and after seeing my grandmother (who meant everything to me) die from cancer it really turned me off of it.
It's all personal preference I guess..
I have smoked when I have been tipsy in the past... not that often though.
