it's days like these.............

when i realise im really pretty lucky.

My car passed its MOT despite having a dry shock absorber and a rubbing brake pad.

I got my official degree scores through the post and got what i wanted an upper second (2.1).

Almost as important as me getting my grade was the news that my final year housemate and one of my three closest friends, John also got a 2.1, which is great cos a year ago he was on the verge of flunking out altogether, but i took him under my wing and he thrived like the creative genius that he is, all it took was the right environment.

Another of my closest friends was in a right state today so i went and helped her move all her stuff from her house she is leaving to her Aunts house. She was all teary as she flies back to San Francisco tomorrow morning at nine leaving beind her boyfriend who she loves in a big way, and her friends, and yes that includes me.

how does this make me lucky? cos as she drove away in her cab to her aunts i realised that there are people on this planet that i really care about, who i love ( i can openly say i love Margaux like i love my sister, and i love John like i love Phil (and before anyone says anything , Phil is my brother in law to be, so i am meant to love him) i realise that whilst there are people on the planet who make me smile, and whom i care about, then life has meaning and purpose for me, and i feel lucky to be here.

so yeah.................

Okay, take what you just said and reverse every bit of the meaning and that is the kind of day I'm having!

But I am still happy for you though!

Found out I got nominated for Junior Sailor of the Quarter...5 minutes after the board adjourned. Showed up late and made an ass of myself.

Found out I was getting assigned to mess duty...Just after I dropped my leave chit to go to New Hampshire (no vacation for me until October now).

Found out my bank froze my funds because they thought I called and reported my checkbook stolen...while trying to pay for a meal at a restaurant.

Fuck, do I need to continue? Need I go on?
