Interviews with an American protestor

At the University of Maryland a couple weeks ago, about a thousand students walked out of class during their midterms to protest the possible war on Iraq. I did not attend (I was at work), but I've recently felt the need to inquire into why exactly these relatively typical college students are protesting the War.

Personally, I'm against going to War, but I'll try and remain objective.

Here are the results of the conversation with an acquantince of mine who attended the protests...

Age: 19
Major: Dance
Intelligence: 3 (One to 10 scale)

MmmsivarT (1:29:43 PM): assuming that your presence at the protests meant you are against going to war with Iraq, would you mind if i asked what your reasons were?
xxx (1:30:01 PM): all war is bad
xxx (1:30:13 PM): like i understand that we have to do something
xxx (1:30:32 PM): its not this war, its any war
xxx (1:30:39 PM): u know?
MmmsivarT (1:30:57 PM): so you are a pacifist in every context and situation?
xxx (1:31:11 PM): huh:?
MmmsivarT (1:32:30 PM): if Japan bombs pearl harbor.. are you still against the US going to war?
MmmsivarT (1:32:44 PM): are you a pacifist
MmmsivarT (1:32:45 PM): was my question
xxx (1:33:07 PM): no, like, i understand the need for it. i just dont want it to happen i guess
MmmsivarT (1:33:41 PM): so at the protests, you werent really saying this (or any) war is wrong, you were just saying war is unfortunate?
xxx (1:33:59 PM): i guess

And there we have it, results from my first interview (her real screenname was withheld).

I will conduct more, from subjects with varying demographic compositions, later.

I hope you got a date out of it, at least.

Sounds like my kind of girl.

Eh, not only is she obviously of lesser intelligence, but she is unattractive and highly annoying.

I think we are "hanging out" tomorrow.
