"In 1968 the first interracial kiss on TV took place between Captain Kirk and Uhura on "Star Trek".

Wasn't she from another planet?

Plus, in as much as Kirk was being played by the absolute worst excuse for an actor to have ever been foisted upon an audience in the entire history of the known universe, wouldn't the fact that it was probably such a bad kiss that it probably shouldn't even count?

A good thing?

Uh.

Have a look and see if Big Al has that look in her eye yet.

Pop another few pills and let's hope that the drowsiness doesn't kick in for a few minutes.

Nope, she is busy cooking away.
It is pies and candy at the moment. (she even makes crust from scratch)
The candy is superb. cherrys and cranberrys cooked down then frozen in little balls, those are getting dipped in swiss chocolate. Then she will go back to the dinner.

See? we can do a wet T contest.

She was such a crappy PC stunt. 'Bridge Officer' my ass. She was a secretary. A fucking telephonist.

"Captain, call for you on line two..."

Bah.

Contrary to Pangloss' belief, the role of Uhura was a major one for black actors. This was virtually the first time a black had been cast in a major role as a re-occuring and central character in a TV series, not just as a bit player. The officers in the bridge crew of the Enterprise (including Scotty and Bones from time to time) were the ones that the episodes mainly revolved around, and Uhura played more than just as a secretary for Kirk on many occasions - she even was left in command on a few occasions!

Now you want to talk secretaries! How about Yeoman Rand, main squeeze of Kirk's aboard ship? The blond bimbo who gave him coffee and off-screen nookie?
