Firmware Out of Date

I keep noticing a warning in the Event Viewer under System that the firmware for my DVD-ROM drive is out of date. How can it be out of date if an update was never released?

It's a HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR-8160B.

What's the fix to make that warning pissoff?
