Post An Interesting Question

A hypothetical.

Say you had the power to freeze life. Meaning that from a certain point forward, you no longer age. You can gain certain knowledge and whatnot, but you will not really "mature". Meaning if you are frozen at 6 years of age you will always have the perspective of a 6 year old. You can learn how to use new devices and whatnot, but only as a six year old learns them and understands them. So you can gain knowledge but not mature. Sure that's a paradox in itself, but forget that for a moment.

You will live for say 500 years in this frozen age. So if you freeze at 75 you live to be 575 but those last 500 years are frozen physically and emotionally as a 75 year old.

What age would you freeze yourself at AND WHY? The options just to make it more difficult:

1. 2 years old.
2. 10 years old.
3. 20 years old.
4. 40 years old.
5. 70 years old.

Don't forget the not maturing thing is key.

20 baby, 20. Old enough to know better, still young enough to do it anyways.

WOuldn't want to imagine myself doing dumb shit over and over again that, at 27, I'm cringing over having done as a 20 year old. This age is perfect because the body is still in good shape, as well as the mind, and enough people take you seriously in a variety of age groups.

I want another choice, more than 20 but less than 40.

20 year olds cant but beer. I would never want to be 20 for 500 years.

Mistakes were made at 20.

I would take 20. I enjoy the perspective I have on life. I may not ACT mature all the time, but that is ok, cause I'm 20...but I also have FUN. Being "mature" all the time, tends to suck. You gotta be able to let loose, have some fun, yada yada. not saying that 40 year olds dont...they just do it to infrequently . Sure, 20 year olds may need to be told OCCASIONALLY to "act" your age, but 40 year olds ALWAYS do (this opinion is based on what my parents were like at 40 - and what other people I know where). And that HAS to suck.

Old enough to have seen enough to not make the same mistakes again and young enough to be appealing to younger girls.

In america. No one said you can't travel, nor that the laws would stay static, just you, besides, you'd physically stay the same, but your birth certificate would still say older. Duhhhhh...

That's a really hard question to answer and I have thought about it off and on for several hours...

Sometimes I really miss being 10, I miss my little girl body, before breasts and hormones, when I played and was protected and summers seemed to last forever. As rough as those times were for me in reality, I do recall that feeling of FOREVER being possible, in fact anything was possible.

20 wasn't bad but nothing special.

I am almost 40. I haven't been too impressed so far with my late 30's.

very tough call.

well tonight i am going for 10.

but another day it might be 20.

i think i would have to say 20, just because i'm having such a good time at the moment, and that is the closest age to me now.

20 for sure.
we dont have the drink problem here, so beers all round.
Forty, i can see the point in being forty, its midlife crisis time after all and you could be prone to doing stupid things.
I wouldnt have chosen 30, i went to a 30th birthday party the other day and it was FUCKING SCARY. That is the age when you just kid yourself that you are still young enough to party properly, but in reality you all look like grown ups in kids clothing. by 40 at least you should have given that one up for good.

Truly?
40.
By then you have gone through enough emotional trauma thanks very much, to know who you are for better or worse, to know what's really important, and you don't have too many wrinkles.

without pause or hesitation for thought... 10 years old.

To be able to look at the world through innocent eyes is a gift that we should cherish. Childhood is important, and if you can be a child forever i say go for it.

I can remember all the options vividly, after 832 years, you people are still asking each other how old you would like to remain!!!
Sheeezzzz, I guess you should freeze yourselves and find out. If it all catches up with me now I'll be fucked!!!!
My wrinkles will have wrinkles on their wrinkles!!!! I'd have to circumcise myself five times to find my bell-end!!!!!
