I was more than a merely moral supporter when I lived in GA but the idea of CSA in Jersey City is a bit scary.
Fortunately the whole state is pretty much farmland elsewhere and I can eat local without trying very hard. Rolling out of bed puts me in striking distance of several excellent farmer's stalls.
im waiting for some nice green beans... also for my mustard to bolt... my wife wants the green I want the seeds.... so we have 2 separate sets growing.
I dont eat tomatoes but the rest of the family does and said that they were great
our mulberries, strawberries and raspberries are coming in decent but the kids keep getting to them before I can.... I love that the can go out in the yard and get a snack
I've never actually seen anyone eat a mulberry. My dad used to buy all the CO2 cartridges I needed to shoot birds out of the neighbors' trees because their mulberry-shit ruined the paint on his cars.
I live on the road.... so... I aint cookin shit,,,, 13 straight weeks in airports. when I get home she cooks up some good shit and I enjoy it,,,, If I were home more I might cook some. last thing I made was some sugared strawberries atop some homemade biscuits with some icecream
