Post Strange emotional/mental ties.

I'm sitting here listening to some Power Man 5000 and I begin to feel like I'm in a car. Like I'm in a car and the heater is on. I can almost feel the people in the car around me.

For some reason, "Tonight, the Stars Revolt!" reminds me of driving about in a car during the winter. Of course, last winter I listened to "Tonight!" often, and a whole lot of stuff, good and bad, happened to me last winter. Maybe that's where the association came from.

Does this sort of thing happen to any of you?

"Your experiment this week, Joel, is called Pod People. It has nothing to do with pods, it has nothing to do with people, it has everything to do with *hurting*." - Dr. Forrester, MST3K

Was it something you would do for anybody?
Was it what you'd only do for me?
Or was it something where you acted when you saw the need
And knew that there would be a way the act could be repaid
And so it may, but for today
I want to thank you for putting me back in my snail shell

i cant listen to "sweet melissa" by the allman brothers or "lets dance" by david bowie. they bring back really vivid memories. one is inside a minivan with 9 other people. the other is a pizza parlor.
bittersweet memories, they are. yesss.

My memories are sort of happy. I can almost see her smiling. I can almost smell the light scent of her perfume, which she rarely ever wore.

But then the bad memories try to butt in. At least they're bearable. Last winter I could very well call a winter of shame.

Ah, but it is the past. Only memories. But aren't memories all we have in the end?
