Turning 45

Yep, it just happened to me. I have never given my birthdays much thought, even forget them until someone tells me to have a happy one. This one was different though. For whatever reason, my 45th birthday felt like a watershed, like I have crossed a Rubicon in my life. I suddenly feel a greater desire to complete things I have started and to start things I have been planning for a long time. It is as if a half-time buzzer has rung in the game of my life and this half is more important than the last. It is actually a good feeling; it is like the second wind I have needed for some time. I am not going to waste it. My time has come.
