We've removed the Suggestions forum from the site ... I'm sure you noticed it was the slowest one on the site, and many times wasn't being used for the intended purpose. All threads that resided in Suggestions have been moved to TLF, and the titles have been appended with [suggestions] in case you want to do a search for them. In the future, feel free to use TLF for suggestions, PMs to admins, or email.

Hall Of Dys is gone too. The threads have been moved to TLF but they have been marked for a hall of fame page. When I'm finished with them there will be a hall of fame page, hall of fame search option, and special icons for hall of fame threads. The threads, however, will always remain in their originating forums.

Beginning shortly, the Dingleator3000 will begin the process of moving the existing forums to our new vbulletin software. During that time, any posts made to the existing forums would not be carried over during conversion. For that reason, we've opened up the new BB here, and will turn off posting on TLF shortly. New registrations have been stopped on the current UBB.

One year ago today, Dingle left bunkum alone long enough to create what has become the mainstay for the Asylum, The Lost Forum. 300,000+ posts and 30+ million hits later, we're still hangin' in ...

We'll be holding a small celebration later today at Chelle's house. BYOC!

Asylum will be down this evening starting at 5 p.m. CST (11 p.m. in Limeyland, ~7 a.m. in Oz and Nute's house). We're doing some upgrading along with maintenance, so expect it to be unavailable for about 4 hours. Chat will still be accessible using galt.mindasylum.net.

First, it was WildChild and zoey winning t-shirts in our day-long chat events, then a rousing round of trivia hosted by the effervescent Nutrimentia ... several cool posts about our celebration including this thread from LeroyBinks .... and now:

We're celebrating the anniversary of #WotA (and #wotsp), the genesis of what is now the Asylum, on Wednesday, 6/6, by giving out the first two official AsylumNation T-shirts! No, you can't see them yet (we'll unveil them Wednesday), but here's how it will work:

One t-shirt will be given away at a specific time (known by the admins). The first person to say something in chat, at the pre-selected minute, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST, will win a shirt!

The second shirt will be awarded to someone between 6-8 p.m. EST who is the first to utter a certain word the admins have selected. If for some reason no one uses that word, we have a couple spares. And we may drop some hints somewhere along the way.

The winners of the shirts will be announced between 8 and 9 p.m. EST both here and in #wota, and then at 9:00, we'll run a general knowledge version of Asylum Trivia in channel #trivia (for points only.)

And maybe we'll have another surprise or two ...
