I have volunteered to work in a local school two afternoons a week. On Wednesday is my year 9 maths class (13/14 yr olds) and Thursdays is a year 10 (14/15 yr olds) music class. I found out today that the music teacher used to go to the same music school I used to go to, and played in the same orchestra, at the same time as my older sister, AND she used to have singing lessons with my mum (who coincidentally died 9 years ago this week)! She even used to come around to my old house!
So we exchanged stories of cheeky messing about on old music courses. The world of music is incredibly small.
